Hi friends! Guess what? My Chemo Port is coming out TOMORROW. It feels like such a huge milestone. Especially considering that I was told (more than once) over the last 9 months that I would likely be receiving intravenous chemo (off and on) for the rest of my life. Yet, here we are today…..and that might not be the case. Miracles do happen 🙂 I am praying and praying that this port will come out tomorrow and I will not ever need it again. BYE FELICIA. (If you have some time, I would appreciate prayers for the port to stay away for good!) I will be getting a form of chemotherapy for 6 months after radiation but that will be in pill form and easier on my body than what I’ve been getting. Regardless, I know that I’ll be at peace with whatever God’s plan is for me…..but what a blessing and a victory to be able to remove my port tomorrow. (For those wondering or worrying, yes we can always put it back in).💜
Also, did you know that today is “World Cancer Day”? I didn’t either until this morning when I got an email from a coworker. It’s funny that on “World Cancer Day” I saw this for the first time …..
I’ve never seen my face well, that large before! (Apparently there are a few around town according to my friends). All joking aside, I’m hoping that in some small way God can use my story (or my face) to bring awareness to a disease …..that is honestly everywhere.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to tomorrow! No-Mo Chemo (Port)! 😉 Thank you for all of the prayers, support, and love.
